This page explains what Mylo’s Recipes does with personal information. The short version: the site collects as little as it can, sells nothing, and shows no advertising.
The site is run by a private individual. For anything on this page, write to hello@mylosrecipes.com.
What the site collects
If you only read recipes, you do not need an account and the site does not ask for anything about you.
If you create an account, it stores your email address, and a display name if you choose one. Signing in with Google instead means Google tells the site your email address and name; the site never sees your Google password.
If you leave a review, it stores your rating and the text you wrote, together with your display name, and shows them publicly on that recipe.
If you save a recipe, it stores which recipes you saved. That list is visible only to you.
If you send a recipe request, it stores the name and message you gave, and your email address if you chose to add one.
Every visit produces the ordinary web server records, kept briefly for security and troubleshooting. The site also counts page views through Vercel Web Analytics, which is aggregated, sets no cookies, and does not follow you to other sites.
Cookies
The site sets two cookies, both strictly necessary: one keeps you signed in, the other remembers your language. There is no advertising or tracking cookie, which is why you are never asked to accept anything.
Why, and on what basis
- To give you an account, reviews and a saved list, because you asked for them and they cannot work otherwise.
- To reply to a recipe request you sent.
- To keep the site working and secure, and to know roughly which recipes get read. That is a legitimate interest, and it is served without building any profile of you.
Who else handles it
The site runs on services that process data on its behalf, under contract:
- Supabase, the database and accounts, hosted in Frankfurt, Germany.
- Vercel, the hosting, served from Europe.
- Resend, which delivers sign-in and notification emails.
- Cloudflare, the domain, and forwarding for hello@mylosrecipes.com.
- Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google.
Nothing is sold, rented, or passed on for advertising.
How long it is kept
Account data stays until you ask for the account to be deleted. Deleting it removes your reviews and your saved list with it. Recipe requests are kept while they are still useful, then cleared.
Your rights
You can ask to see what is held about you, to correct it, delete it, take it elsewhere, or object to its use. Write to hello@mylosrecipes.com and you will have an answer within a month. If the answer does not satisfy you, you can complain to your national data protection authority; in Italy that is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
Children
The site is not aimed at children and does not knowingly keep information about them.
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
